I did some research (read: found a few articles online) on how to cure Butternut Squash. There were many contradictions so I simply followed the best advice from all sites.
I gently washed the veggie, quickly dipped it in a bleach/water combo and then set them to dry. I kept them in my kitchen for two weeks before moving them to cold storage.

In my home, cold storage is in my office where the heat doesn't seem to circulate. It's currently 55* in there.
