The Garden: Mid-August, Part 2

Another gorgeous day in the garden!

I'm trying to rip up the plants as they cease production. Below is a giant summer squash plant which measures at least 5 feet long. It was HUGE. I can't believe that all comes from ONE seed.

Squash Patch 2011.
I'm growing acorn squash, summer squash, zucchini, and butternut squash. It's a tangled mess in there but all the veggies are quite cozy.
A green pepper/eggplant box now that the prolific yellow bean vines are gone!

Potato Row.

Peaches from Farmers Market.

Today's harvest included tomatoes, zucchini, cucumbers, squash, my first CANTALOUPE of the season, and corn! I may or may not have eaten four ears of corn for lunch.
