i was curious, i read a while ago that you went a year without shopping and i was curious if you got the idea from the book "Not Buying That:my year without shopping". if not i wonder if you'd read it to be able to compare experiences.

I actually got the idea from the book "Blue Like Jazz" by Donald Miller. In the book he mentions that his friend Penny did it and that started the ball rolling for me. And no, I've not read the book you mentioned.
Amazing pics--may favorite one is the one with the rainbow. Europe is one of those places I'll probably never make it to, but it's fun to see the pics. (:
